This project is underway and due for completion in 2027.
Olympus House is composed as a sequence of calm, architectural volumes tuned to light, view and daily ritual. The home sits with quiet confidence, reading as a set of measured planes and voids rather than an object that demands attention. Proportion leads. Thresholds are deliberate. Rooms open and contract in response to how the family lives, so movement feels intuitive and unforced.
Materially, the palette is disciplined and enduring. Stone, timber and patinated metal establish weight and warmth. Surfaces that meet the hand are softened. Edges that carry structure are tightened. The language is restrained, but never austere. Grain, variation and natural sheen provide depth without ornament. Built-in joinery is conceived as architecture rather than furniture, anchoring each space while concealing storage and services to keep the visual field composed.
The social level is the heart of the home. Kitchen, dining and living align to light and outlook, with glazing that edits rather than exposes.
A monolithic island and carefully proportioned work surfaces remove fuss from everyday tasks. Subtle curves in metalwork and pulls temper the geometry. Lighting privileges glow over glare. Concealed lines wash planes, and considered points of light collect on texture so illumination reads as atmosphere.
Private rooms retreat into a quieter register. Bedrooms are tuned to rest, with layered textiles and gentle transitions. Bathrooms continue the material language with stone, solid metal fittings and crafted detailing. Niches and ledges are integrated where they are needed, so function is supported without visual noise.
Furnishings are edited and purposeful. Fewer pieces, better made. Local makers sit alongside international classics selected for longevity and character. The arrangement supports both everyday ease and formal hosting, with elements that can shift as the family grows.
Landscape and interior work in concert. Openings frame trees and sky rather than rely on constant exposure, which keeps the rooms temperate and the outlook considered. The result is a home that is precise yet humane, elegant without excess, and designed to gather depth through use and time. Olympus House embodies the studio’s belief that rigorous control and material generosity can produce spaces that feel effortless to live in.
